Blue Devil Cottage Rules & Regulations

We are looking forward to your visit to the Blue Devil Cottage located in Lakeside Village I. This is a Property Owner's Association community that has rules and regulations. Listed below are the rules & regulations that you should be aware of during your visit. We have also included information specific to BDC to help make your visit more enjoyable. Please abide by the BDC and Lakeside Village community rules & regulations during your stay.

ONLY property owner boats are allowed in the lake. There is a Blue Devil Cottage canoe available for your use. The BDC manual has a map to the canoe location, instructions for canoe use, and location of canoe equipment. Please use the BDC canoe in accordance to the instructions in the manual.
Please do not make use of any of the other boats that are stored at the beach/boat launch as they do not belong to BDC.

BDC is NOT accepting pets as lodging guests at this time. The community and Cumberland County of Virginia have very strict rules for pets within Lakeside Village I & II.

Beach I is a community beach with young families. Please remember appropriate behavior and language so that everyone can enjoy the beach. Please pick up after your visit and deposit all trash in receptacle.

ONLY residents and their guests are allowed use of the beach. Large groups or parties require special permission. Please follow rules posted on sign at Beach 1.

Fishing at Trice's Lake in Cumberland County follows the county rules requiring a fishing license. A seasonal fishing license is required for all fishermen except for anyone under the age of 16. Fishing is allowed off of the community docks except on the swimming side. No fishing off of the side of the dock in the designated swimming areas.

Open fires are allowed after 4 P.M. unless otherwise posted by Cumberland County because of unfavorable weather conditions such as lack of rain.
Instructions are posted in the BDC manual.
Use of BDC fireplace inside the cottage is allowed during the months of November, December, January, and February & March.

LOST & FOUND
Personal articles left at BDC after your check out will be returned to you upon request and at your expense. We will advise you of anything you may have left behind by email and proceed with authorized, prepaid returns.
